The resort that Bob and his family stayed at was Tulemar Resort. It is on the western coast of Costa Rica right adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park. By the way the dish Casado per wikipedia is: A casado (Spanish, “married man”) is a Costa Rican meal using rice, black beans, plantains, salad, a tortilla, and an optional protein source such as chicken, beef, pork, fish, and so on. The term may have originated when restaurant customers asked to be treated as casados, since married men ate such meals at home. Another theory is that the rice and beans and/or the grouping of dishes are married, since they are always together. The spice tour they went on was at Finca Agricola El Rocio. There is another spice tour company in the ara as well and it is Rainforest Spices. In San Jose Bob stayed at the Grand Hotel, and his family enjoyed the central market, soda restaurants in the market, as well as the National Museum of Costa Rica (culture and history) and Museo del Jade (pre-Columbian Jade). Don’t forget I have a Costa Rica Planning Podcast Episode 70 as well.
