Tina and her family stayed at the Chatrium Residence in Bangkok. Tina discussed two excursions from Bangkok. Beyond the big tourist sites, they enjoyed Taling Chan floating market and The Art House. Tina’s son loved Swizzle Oklahoma Burge in Bangkok. Go there if you are needing some Western food. The first on with elephants was the town of Ayutthaya. They found really cheap prices to interact with elephants that were treated humanely. They also visited Mongkholbophit Temple while there, as well as Watmahathat, which is Budha’s face carved in the tree. They had a great meal at Malakor Restaurant in Ayutthaya as well. There second excursion was to the island of Koh Samet, which is a two hour drive south east of Bangkok by private car or a six hour bus ride. You catch the ferry at Koh Samet Ferry Pier. Upon some research I did, there are 5 boats that go to 5 different locations on Koh Samet. Tina’s family took the boat / ferry Ban Pae Pier, Koh Samed, Na Dan Pier. The first pier refences the pier on the mainland, then the island (spelled a bit different), then the location that the boat / ferry lands on the island. Google Maps shows you all the routes and options. They took the “private” Choktipmanee” boat for 500 Baht each person. They stayed at Tok’s Little Hut, and enjoyed the air conditioning. They saw the Fire Show at Ploy Talay Restaurant. Don’t forget to take you bug spray and sunscreen.
If you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Credit Card, Southwest Business, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, and the Hyatt Credit Card. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show. Some of these credit card links do not last long. If the link doesn’t work please contact me and I can send one to you real time. Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off on a monthly basis then it is not worth getting these. Thanks so much!
