These two sites are a must see when you are in London.  Both are easy to get to and both are free of charge.  You should get a ticket ahead of time for the British Museum (again it is free), but it gives you a definite time to get into the museum.  The Rosetta Stone is not to missed, and I love the Asyrian section as well.  If you have time left your day and you want to see another slice of London go to Camden Town.  It is on the Northern Tube Line, and is easy to get to as well.
