Episode 150! – Dusseldorf, Germany

It’s hard to believe that this is the 150th podcast.  I sure have learned a lot about travel and places interviewing my incredible guests throughout the years.  I sure hope that you as the listener have learn a lot about travel through this podcast as well. If you would like to help the show and you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Airlines Personal and/or Business Cards, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Business Ink Cards, and the IHG (Holiday Inn) Cards. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show.  Some of these credit card links do not last long.  If the link doesn’t work please contact me and I can send one to you in real time.  Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off monthly then it is not worth getting these.  Thanks so much!

We hung out with our friends in Berath, Germany which is a cute little suburb of Dusseldorf.  The one tourist attraction there is Schloss Benrath.  Don’t forget to checkout the Dusseldorf Card to give you a less expensive trip, and insight into the tourist attractions.  The breweries to look for in the old town (Altstadt) are Fuchschen, Uerige, and Schlussel breweries.  Go enjoy some Alt beer in the Altstadt!  I mentioned the restaurant in the Altstadt called Ham-Ham bei Josef.  Go have a roast pork sandwich for a reasonable price!  After you have had a couple of alt beers go ahead and try Mettbrotchen.  It’s a local delicacy!  We stayed in the city of Neuss across the Rhein River.  We stayed at the Holiday Inn for only 13,000 points!
