Episode 106 – Brugge, Belgium and the train to Edinburgh, Scotland

Brugge, Belgium is such an incredible medieval style city.  “The Venice of the North” with all its canals.  The brewery that we went to in Brugge is called De Halve Maan.   There is another brewery in town that I have not been too, but should have checked out and that is the Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres.  Oh well, it gives me an excellent reason to go back.  It is not to be missed and is very close to where the canal boat tours start.  The two churches that I mentioned are the Basilica of the Holy Blood and the Church of our Lady Brugge.  The tower in the city center that you can walk up for a great view is the Belfry of Brugge.  Now if you want to go see the old wooden windmill take a stroll down Langestraat, and get to Kruispoort.  It is 1400 century gate to the city.  Right beside it is the old windmills right on the canal.  The hostel I discussed The St. Christopher’s Inn The Bauhaus and the Bauhaus Bar.  The other hostel on Hoogstraat is Charlie Rocket, which is closer into the city center.

If you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Credit Card, and the Hyatt Credit Card. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show.  Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off on a monthly basis then it is not worth getting these.  Thanks so much!
